Microsoft OneDrive
The same, for Microsoft 365. Connect the account, choose the folders, and the PDFs in them are imported and kept up to date.
Direct upload
Drag PDFs straight in, either into your company library or into a specific job. Same processing, same citations.
Live web sources
Optional, and management’s decision. When enabled, Tinker can check the open web for what your library does not cover, preferring official manufacturer sources and labelling every web result as such.
What a sync actually does

Discovers what is there
Walks the folders you selected, within safety limits so one badly chosen folder cannot run away with your library.

Imports what is new
A file Tinker has not seen is imported and processed. A file that has changed is reprocessed in place, so existing citations keep working.

Notices what left
A file that has been deleted, moved out of scope, or lost permission is marked and stops being used for answers.

Records all of it
Every import, reprocess, rename, and removal is written to an append-only sync history with the reason, so a change in what Tinker knows is always traceable.
Integration questions
What access does Tinker need to Google Drive or OneDrive?
Read access to the folders you explicitly select, and nothing else. You choose the folders during setup, and you can change or disconnect them at any time. Tinker never writes to your drive.
What happens when we add a manual to a synced folder?
The next sync imports it and processes it like any other manual. A file that has changed is reprocessed in place, so citations already recorded against it keep pointing at the same document.
What happens if we remove a file from the folder?
Tinker notices on the next sync and stops using it for answers. It is recorded in the sync history with the reason, so a manual disappearing from search is explainable rather than mysterious.
Can a synced folder belong to a job?
Yes. Attach a synced folder to a job and its PDFs become that job’s documents — including the ones synced before the job existed, which are linked immediately rather than waiting for the next run.
Where does web search come in?
It is optional and controlled by your management. When it is on, Tinker may consult the open web for questions your library does not cover — a bulletin, a recall, a model you have never carried — preferring manufacturer and official sources. Web results are labelled as web sources and are never presented as your company documentation.
Can we turn web search off?
Yes, from your organization settings, at any time. With it off, Tinker answers from your documentation and its own general knowledge only, and says plainly when it cannot check the web.
